Terms of Business

These Terms of Business govern the provision of polygraph examination services by Expert Polygraph (“we”, “us”), a practice trading as Expert Polygraph, to you (“the client”). By booking a consultation or examination you accept these terms.

We provide polygraph (lie detection) examinations on a voluntary, confidential basis. Our examinations are an investigative and decision-support tool. Polygraph results are not admissible as evidence in courts in England and Wales, and do not determine legal guilt or innocence.

All examinations require the informed, voluntary consent of the person being tested. We do not test individuals under pressure or emotional coercion, and every question is agreed in advance with the person being tested.

Our entry-level private examinations start from £495. The final fee for your case is confirmed in writing before your appointment and is based on the complexity of your circumstances. The fee quoted covers the entire examination procedure, including the pre-test interview, chart recording, analysis and written report, with no hidden charges. We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added to our fees.

We treat all enquiries, examinations and results as strictly confidential, and we process personal data in accordance with UK data protection law. Please see our Privacy Policy for details. Nothing is disclosed to any third party without your express consent, except where we are required to do so by law.

Our services are provided with reasonable skill and care. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of our services.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising under them.
